What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex connect to external tools. AppLaunchFlow's MCP server gives these assistants direct access to your screenshot projects.
Do I need to install anything?
No MCP server runs on your computer. AppLaunchFlow is hosted at https://mcp.applaunchflow.com/mcp. Add that URL to your MCP client, then sign in through your browser. The optional `npx -y applaunchflow connect codex` and `npx -y applaunchflow connect claude` helpers configure Codex and Claude Code for you.
How does authentication work?
Your MCP client starts a standard OAuth 2.1 authorization-code flow with PKCE. AppLaunchFlow opens in your browser so you can sign in and approve access. You never copy an API key or access token into chat.
Can I use MCP alongside the browser editor?
Yes. Changes made via MCP sync to the browser editor in real time. You can switch between AI-assisted and manual editing freely.
Is MCP included in the free plan?
Yes. MCP access is available on all plans, including free. The same plan limits (exports, projects) apply whether you use the browser editor or MCP.
Which AI assistants are supported?
Any client that supports remote Streamable HTTP MCP servers and OAuth can connect. The setup below includes Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor; other clients can use https://mcp.applaunchflow.com/mcp directly.
